Pulsars. The galaxy is loaded with them. For the Stargate Universe plot of “Incursion Part 2”, the team needed a stellar “bad guy” which behaved in a certain way. They wrote it. They filmed it. Later, it was discovered in our galaxy to be a real thing. Only several billion light years off, right?
